Leon Johnson (cricketer)

Leon Rayon Johnson (born August 8, 1987) is a Guyanese cricketer who plays primarily as a left-handed batsman. He captains the Guyana national cricket team in both first-class and List A cricket. Johnson also represented the West Indies in Test matches and One Day Internationals (ODIs).

Johnson made his first-class debut for Guyana in 2004. He steadily established himself as a reliable batsman in the regional competitions. His consistent performances at the domestic level eventually led to his selection for the West Indies team.

He made his Test debut for the West Indies against South Africa in 2014. He has had sporadic appearances in the West Indies Test team, often filling in when more established players are unavailable. Johnson has also represented the West Indies in ODIs.
