Pasta Pomodoro was a casual dining Italian restaurant chain based in San Francisco, California. Founded in 1994 by Adriane Fugh-Berman, the chain focused on offering affordable, quick-service pasta dishes and other Italian-American staples. Pasta Pomodoro emphasized fresh ingredients and a build-your-own approach to pasta dishes, allowing customers to select their preferred pasta type, sauce, and additional toppings. At its peak, Pasta Pomodoro had approximately 30 locations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and other parts of California. The chain was known for its value proposition and family-friendly atmosphere. Financial difficulties and increased competition led to a gradual decline in the number of restaurants, with the last location closing in 2016.
