Electric Light Orchestra Part Two (album)

Electric Light Orchestra Part Two is the self-titled debut album by the band Electric Light Orchestra Part Two, released in 1991. The band was formed by Bev Bevan, drummer of the original Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), along with former ELO members Louis Clark and Kelly Groucutt. However, due to legal disputes with Jeff Lynne regarding the use of the "Electric Light Orchestra" name, the band was initially marketed and referred to as ELO Part Two.

The album features Eric Troyer and Neil Lockwood as lead vocalists, with Troyer contributing significantly to the songwriting process. It was an attempt to capture the symphonic rock sound associated with the original ELO, but with a more contemporary production style.

The album received mixed reviews upon its release. While some appreciated the effort to continue the ELO sound, others found it lacking the originality and songwriting prowess of Jeff Lynne's work. Despite this, the album did achieve moderate commercial success, particularly in Europe. Singles released from the album included "Honest Men," "Calling America," and "Heartbreaker."

The album's tracklist includes:

  1. Calling America
  2. Honest Men
  3. Every Night
  4. Once Upon a Time
  5. Heartbreaker
  6. If You Can't Get It Out of Your Mind
  7. Thousand Eyes
  8. For the Love of a Woman
  9. Power of Love
  10. After All

The album was followed by subsequent studio albums, including Moment of Truth (1994) and One More Tomorrow (1997). Bev Bevan ultimately dissolved the band in 1999 after selling his share of the ELO name to Jeff Lynne. The remaining members subsequently formed The Orchestra.
