Barbara Stevens (basketball)

Barbara Stevens (basketball) is a retired American women's basketball coach. She served as the head coach of the Bentley University Falcons for 34 seasons, from 1986 to 2020. During her tenure, she established Bentley as a Division II powerhouse, leading the Falcons to a national championship in 2014 and numerous conference titles.

Stevens amassed an impressive career record, surpassing 1,000 career wins and becoming one of the most successful coaches in NCAA Division II women's basketball history. She was known for her strategic coaching, player development, and commitment to academic excellence.

Prior to Bentley, Stevens coached at Clark University and Nichols College. She is a member of the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame and the New England Basketball Hall of Fame. Her contributions to the sport extended beyond the court, as she also served on various NCAA committees. Since retirement, she has remained involved in the basketball community.
