Le Couple

Le Couple was a popular Japanese pop and adult contemporary music duo, best known for their 1997 hit song "Hidamari no Uta" (陽だまりの詩, "Poem of the Sunny Spot"). The group consisted of husband and wife Emi Hinata (日向恵美, vocals) and Takuya Fujita (藤田隆二, guitar and keyboards).

They formed in 1994 and signed with Pony Canyon, releasing several albums and singles throughout the late 1990s. Their music was characterized by Emi Hinata's soft, clear vocals and Takuya Fujita's gentle, acoustic-leaning instrumentation. While "Hidamari no Uta" became their signature song and a major commercial success, they released other notable tracks such as "Sayonara no Natsu" and "So Summer Style".

Le Couple officially disbanded in 2005, after which Emi Hinata pursued a solo career. Takuya Fujita continued to work in the music industry, focusing on composition and arrangement. Despite their relatively short career as a duo, Le Couple left a lasting impact on Japanese popular music, particularly through the enduring popularity of "Hidamari no Uta."
