Las Vegas Wranglers (baseball)

The Las Vegas Wranglers were a professional minor league baseball team based in Las Vegas, Nevada. They played in the South Division of the Pacific Conference of the ECHL (formerly the East Coast Hockey League) from 2003 to 2014. The team was named after the wild mustangs that roamed the Nevada desert and played their home games at the Orleans Arena.

The Wranglers experienced considerable success during their tenure in Las Vegas, making the playoffs in all but one season. They were known for their strong fan base and lively game-day atmosphere. The team was affiliated with several National Hockey League (NHL) teams during its existence, including the Calgary Flames and the Phoenix Coyotes.

The Wranglers ceased operations following the 2013-2014 season due to difficulties securing a new arena and the impending arrival of the Las Vegas Golden Knights NHL team, which would occupy the Orleans Arena. Despite their relatively short history, the Las Vegas Wranglers left a significant mark on the city's sports scene.
