Des Koch

Des Koch (born August 11, 1982) is an American former discus thrower. He competed for the United States at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, where he did not qualify for the final round.

Koch attended Findlay High School in Findlay, Ohio, and later competed collegiately for Stanford University. He was a two-time NCAA champion in the discus, winning the titles in 2003 and 2004. He was also a multiple-time All-American.

Following his collegiate career, Koch continued to compete professionally. In addition to the 2004 Olympics, he also represented the United States at several other international competitions, including the IAAF World Championships. He achieved a personal best throw of 67.23 meters in 2004.
