David Affengruber (footballer, born 2001)

David Affengruber (born 12 March 2001) is an Austrian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Red Bull Salzburg in the Austrian Bundesliga.

Career

Affengruber began his youth career at SV Feldkirchen before joining the academy of Grazer AK. In 2015, he moved to the youth setup of Red Bull Salzburg. He gained experience on loan with FC Liefering, the Salzburg's feeder team, playing in the Austrian Second League.

In January 2021, Affengruber was loaned to Sturm Graz. This loan was later made permanent. During his time at Sturm Graz, he became a key member of the defense.

In January 2024, Affengruber returned to Red Bull Salzburg.

International Career

Affengruber has represented Austria at various youth international levels.
