Li Bin (politician)
Li Bin (李斌) (born October 1956) is a Chinese politician. As of March 2023, she is a Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress.
Early Life and Education:
Li Bin was born in Fushun, Liaoning province. She graduated from Jilin University with a degree in economics.
Career:
Li Bin has held a variety of positions within the Chinese government, primarily focusing on population and healthcare. Before her role at the National People's Congress, she served as the Director of the National Health Commission (NHC) from 2013 to 2018. Prior to that, she was the Minister of the National Population and Family Planning Commission. She also served as the Governor of Anhui province from 2011 to 2013. She began her career in Jilin province, working in various government departments related to education and economics.
