Cunningham (Open Constituency, Fiji)

The Cunningham Open Constituency was a former electoral division of Fiji, one of 71 seats contested in elections. It was established by the 1997 Constitution and existed for the 1999, 2001 and 2006 general elections. The constituency was located within the Central Division of Fiji. It was categorized as an "Open" constituency, meaning any registered voter, regardless of ethnicity, could contest or vote in it. Before the 2014 elections, Fiji moved away from a constituency-based electoral system to a single national constituency with proportional representation. Therefore, the Cunningham Open Constituency no longer exists. Details on specific election results and elected members can be found in records of Fiji's Parliamentary elections during its active years.
