VRT (broadcaster)

VRT, standing for Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroeporganisatie, is the public-service broadcaster for the Flemish Community of Belgium. It provides television, radio and online services.

VRT's mission is to inform, educate and entertain the Flemish population. It operates several television channels, including Eén, Canvas and Ketnet, which target different demographics with a range of programming, from news and current affairs to drama, documentaries and children's shows.

Its radio stations include Radio 1, Radio 2, Studio Brussel, MNM and Klara, each offering a distinct music format or focus, as well as news and information.

VRT also maintains a significant online presence through its website and various social media platforms, offering news, streaming services, and interactive content. VRT is funded primarily through government subsidies and advertising revenue. It plays a key role in promoting Flemish culture and identity.
