Jonathan Anderson (fashion designer)
Jonathan Anderson (fashion designer), born in Northern Ireland in 1984, is a prominent fashion designer best known for his eponymous label, JW Anderson, and his role as creative director of the Spanish luxury brand, Loewe.
Anderson studied menswear at the London College of Fashion, graduating in 2005. He launched JW Anderson in 2008 initially as a menswear brand, quickly gaining recognition for its androgynous and provocative designs. The label expanded into womenswear in 2010. JW Anderson has become synonymous with a modern, intellectual aesthetic, exploring themes of gender fluidity, art, and culture.
In 2013, Anderson was appointed creative director of Loewe, a brand owned by LVMH.
