Jimmy Allen (American football)

Jimmy Allen is a former American football defensive back who played in the National Football League (NFL) from 1982 to 1994. He played college football at Texas A&M University, where he was a standout player.

Allen was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round of the 1982 NFL Draft. He played for the Steelers from 1982 to 1986. After leaving Pittsburgh, he played for the Detroit Lions from 1987 to 1991, and then finished his career with the Houston Oilers from 1992 to 1994.

Throughout his NFL career, Allen was known for his hard-hitting style and coverage abilities. He recorded multiple interceptions and fumble recoveries during his time in the league. Following his playing career, Allen has been involved in coaching and mentoring young athletes.
