Boa (Croatian band)

Boa is a Croatian rock band formed in Zagreb in 1979. They are known for their sophisticated art rock sound, incorporating elements of jazz, funk, and new wave. Boa was initially composed of brothers Mladen and Igor Vidović, along with Juraj Novoselić and Slavko Remenarić.

The band gained popularity in the 1980s, releasing several successful albums, including Boa I (1982), Ritam strasti (1983), and Govor tijela (1985). These albums showcased their intricate arrangements, melodic compositions, and introspective lyrics. They were a prominent part of the Yugoslav new wave scene.

Over the years, Boa experienced lineup changes and periods of inactivity. However, they reunited in the late 1990s and have continued to perform and release music, maintaining a dedicated following in Croatia and the surrounding region. Mladen Vidović remains a central figure in the band. Their discography includes both studio albums and compilation releases.
