Jeffrey Brown (journalist)

Jeffrey Brown is an American television journalist, currently serving as the senior correspondent and chief arts correspondent for the PBS NewsHour. He joined the NewsHour in 1988 and has covered a wide range of topics, including politics, foreign affairs, and culture, with a particular focus on the arts and literature.

Brown has conducted in-depth interviews with numerous prominent figures in the arts, including authors, musicians, actors, and visual artists. His reporting often explores the social and political contexts surrounding artistic expression.

Prior to joining the NewsHour, Brown worked for National Public Radio's Morning Edition and All Things Considered. He holds a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley and a J.D. from Yale Law School. He is the author of "The News: A User's Manual," co-written with Judy Woodruff, and "This Is Not My Beautiful Life: A Memoir." He has received several awards for his journalism, including multiple Emmy Awards.
