Rooftops (film)

Rooftops is a 1989 American musical drama film directed by Robert Wise. It stars Jason Gedrick, Troy Beyer, and Eddie Velez. The film explores themes of love, poverty, and survival in the drug-ridden neighborhoods of New York City.

The story centers around T, a young man trying to escape the cycle of crime and violence, and his relationship with Callie. Much of the film takes place on the rooftops of tenement buildings, which serve as a refuge and a backdrop for the characters' lives.

Rooftops features a score by Michael Colombier and incorporates elements of hip-hop, salsa, and other musical styles. The film was not a commercial success and received mixed reviews upon its release.
