Dreamland (Beat Circus album)

Dreamland is the second studio album by the experimental rock band Beat Circus, released in 2008 on Cuneiform Records. It's a concept album inspired by Coney Island, specifically its historical Dreamland amusement park which operated from 1904 to 1911 before burning down.

The album features the band's signature blend of rock, jazz, and avant-garde influences, incorporating elements of circus music, dark cabaret, and musique concrète. Bandleader Brian Carpenter composed the music, weaving a narrative that explores themes of wonder, spectacle, destruction, and decay associated with the ill-fated Dreamland.
