Jay O'Brien (Virginia politician)

Jay O'Brien is an American politician who served in the Virginia House of Delegates, representing the 81st district. The 81st district encompasses portions of Virginia Beach. A member of the Republican Party, O'Brien was first elected in November 2021, defeating incumbent Democrat Nancy Guy. His legislative priorities focused on education, economic development, and public safety within Virginia Beach. He previously served on the Virginia Beach City Council. O'Brien lost his bid for re-election in the November 2023 general election to Democrat Michael Feggans.
