Philip Parker (of Erwarton)

Philip Parker (of Erwarton) was an English landowner and politician. He served as Member of Parliament for Ipswich on multiple occasions in the late 16th and early 17th centuries.

He was the son of John Parker and Elizabeth Brooke. His family held significant land in Erwarton, Suffolk. He married Catherine Goodwin, daughter of Sir John Goodwin.

Parker's parliamentary service included terms in 1586, 1588-89, 1593, and 1604-1611. His activity in Parliament is not extensively documented, but his repeated election suggests he was a figure of local importance in Ipswich and Suffolk. He likely represented the interests of the landed gentry and merchants of the area.
