Jarosław Duda (politician)

Jarosław Duda (born January 24, 1963, Wrocław) is a Polish politician and Member of the European Parliament (MEP) representing the Lower Silesian and Opole constituencies. He is affiliated with the Civic Platform (Platforma Obywatelska) party, part of the European People's Party (EPP) group in the European Parliament.

Duda holds a degree in sociology from the University of Wrocław. Prior to his political career, he was involved in social activism, particularly concerning the rights of people with disabilities. He served as the head of the "Integracja" Foundation, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities.

Duda was elected to the European Parliament in 2009 and re-elected in 2014 and 2019. In the European Parliament, he has been involved in various committees, focusing on employment, social affairs, and disability rights. He has been a vocal advocate for policies promoting inclusion and accessibility for people with disabilities across the European Union.

He has been actively involved in drafting and amending legislation related to social policy, employment, and the rights of disabled individuals within the EU framework.
