Miles Field (Oregon)
Miles Field was a minor league baseball park located in Medford, Oregon. It served as the home of various incarnations of the Medford A's, Medford Giants, Medford Dodgers, and Medford Rogues over several decades. The ballpark was named after Miles Reeder, a local businessman and baseball enthusiast who was instrumental in bringing professional baseball to Medford.
Miles Field primarily hosted teams affiliated with Major League Baseball organizations, competing in leagues such as the Northwest League. It provided a venue for young players to develop their skills and aspire to reach the major leagues. The facility was known for its relatively small size and intimate atmosphere, bringing fans close to the action.
Over the years, Miles Field underwent various renovations and improvements to enhance the fan experience. It remained a significant part of Medford's sporting history and provided a focal point for community gatherings. The stadium was eventually replaced by Harry & David Field in 2000. Although no longer standing, Miles Field holds a place in the memories of many baseball fans in Southern Oregon.
