Toru Yano

Toru Yano (矢野 通, Yano Tōru, born May 20, 1978) is a Japanese professional wrestler. He is primarily known for his work in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), where he is a former NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champion, IWGP Tag Team Champion, and multiple-time GHC Tag Team Champion.

Yano is characterized by his comedic style, often employing low blows, cheating tactics, and distractions to gain an advantage in matches. He frequently uses scissors to cut the turnbuckle pads, duct tape to restrain opponents, and sells his YTR-branded merchandise during matches. He is the leader of the Chaos stable's comedy faction.

Before becoming a professional wrestler, Yano was a decorated amateur wrestler, competing in the Greco-Roman style. He transitioned to professional wrestling after training at the NJPW dojo and debuted in 2002.

Beyond his in-ring persona, Yano is also involved in various business ventures, including owning and operating a bar and promoting his YTR brand, which includes merchandise such as T-shirts, DVDs, and even curry. His entrepreneurial activities are often incorporated into his wrestling character and storylines. He is known for his catchphrase "YTR! Toru Yano, the Ace!".
