Jahrstedt

Jahrstedt is a village and a former municipality in the district of Altmarkkreis Salzwedel, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Since 1 January 2010, it is part of the town Kalbe (Milde). Jahrstedt is located approximately 15 kilometers east of Salzwedel. The local economy is largely agricultural. The area surrounding Jahrstedt is characterized by rolling hills and farmland. Historical records indicate the existence of Jahrstedt dating back several centuries. The village church is a notable landmark.
