JPMorgan Chase Tower (Houston)

The JPMorgan Chase Tower, located in Houston, Texas, is a 75-story, 1,002-foot (305 m) skyscraper. It is the tallest building in Texas and the 26th-tallest building in the United States as of 2023. Designed by I.M. Pei & Partners, the building was completed in 1982 and originally named Texas Commerce Tower.

The tower is characterized by its distinctive five-sided shape, a design chosen to maximize the number of corner offices. The exterior is clad in gray granite and glass. A large, three-story glass lobby provides public space and houses a variety of artwork.

The building's name changed following the merger of Texas Commerce Bank with Chemical Bank in 1996, becoming the Bank One Center. It adopted its current name in 2005 after JPMorgan Chase acquired Bank One.

The JPMorgan Chase Tower serves as a prominent landmark in the Houston skyline and a major office complex, housing primarily JPMorgan Chase offices and other corporate tenants. Its central location in downtown Houston provides easy access to various business, cultural, and entertainment venues. A tunnel system connects the building to other downtown buildings.
