Darren Williams (Australian footballer)
Darren Williams is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Sydney Swans in the Australian Football League (AFL).
Williams was drafted by Sydney with pick 72 in the 1996 AFL Draft. He made his debut in 1998 and played primarily as a defender. He was known for his strong marking and tackling ability.
Williams played a total of 72 games for the Swans between 1998 and 2003. He was a member of the Swans team that reached the 2003 preliminary final. He retired from AFL football at the end of the 2003 season.
After retiring from the AFL, Williams returned to play local football in New South Wales. He has also worked as a coach at various levels.
