Item (TV series)

Item (also known as Item and in Korean: 아이템; RR: Aitem) is a 2019 South Korean television series broadcast on MBC. It is based on the webtoon of the same name written by Min Hyung and illustrated by Kim Joon-seok. The series aired from February 11 to April 2, 2019, starring Joo Ji-hoon, Jin Se-yeon, Kim Kang-woo, and Kim Yoo-ri.

The drama is a mystery thriller that revolves around a prosecutor and a profiler who uncover a conspiracy involving objects with supernatural powers. Through investigating these mysterious items, they confront corruption, greed, and the dark desires of individuals who seek to exploit these powers for their own selfish gain.

The story follows Kang Gon (Joo Ji-hoon), a passionate prosecutor who becomes embroiled in a case connected to these supernatural items as he tries to protect his niece. He teams up with Shin So-young (Jin Se-yeon), a talented criminal profiler, to unravel the truth behind the items and the people who possess them. The series explores themes of good versus evil, the dangers of unchecked power, and the importance of fighting for justice. Kim Kang-woo plays Jo Se-hwang, a sociopathic businessman with a collection of these mysterious items and a key antagonist in the series.
