Iod (river)

The Iod is a small river located in eastern Romania. It is a tributary of the Bârlad River, which in turn flows into the Siret River, ultimately reaching the Danube. The Iod River flows through the county of Vaslui. Information regarding the river's length, drainage basin size, and hydrological characteristics (such as flow rate and water quality) is limited and often inconsistent across available sources. It is primarily a rural waterway, with its course influencing local agriculture and ecosystems. Its name, "Iod," may have local historical or geological significance, but further research is needed to determine its etymology.
