Mamiffer

Mamiffer is a neologism, a portmanteau of "mammal" and "conifer," sometimes used in speculative biology and science fiction contexts to describe hypothetical organisms that combine characteristics of mammals and coniferous trees.

The term typically refers to creatures that are biologically mammalian but possess tree-like features, such as a trunk-like body, bark-like skin, branches, and the ability to photosynthesize. They are often envisioned as stationary or semi-stationary organisms, drawing nutrients from the soil and sunlight in a manner analogous to plants while retaining mammalian features like warm-bloodedness, internal fertilization, and possibly the ability to produce milk or other mammalian secretions.
