EmailTray

EmailTray was a freemium email client application for Microsoft Windows designed to prioritize and organize email messages. It used algorithms and user-defined rules to filter out unimportant emails, such as spam and newsletters, and highlight important messages from known contacts or based on the content of the email. The application aimed to reduce email overload and improve email management efficiency for its users.

EmailTray distinguished itself from traditional email clients by focusing on proactive email sorting and notification. Instead of simply displaying emails in chronological order, it analyzed each message and categorized it into different trays, such as "Top Priority," "Low Priority," or "Spam." This allowed users to quickly identify and respond to the most important emails without having to manually sort through a large inbox.

The application supported multiple email accounts from various providers, including Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, and Outlook. It learned from user interactions, such as marking emails as important or spam, to improve its filtering accuracy over time. While a free version with limited features was available, a paid premium version offered additional functionalities like enhanced spam filtering and customer support.

The developers of EmailTray, Traysoft, ceased development and support for the application. As of 2014, the software is no longer available. The service is considered defunct.
