IIT Goa

IIT Goa is the Indian Institute of Technology Goa, a public technical university located in Goa, India. It is one of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), a group of autonomous institutes of higher education established and declared as Institutes of National Importance by the Parliament of India.

IIT Goa began operating in 2016, initially functioning from a temporary campus at the Goa Engineering College (GEC) campus in Farmagudi. The institute offers undergraduate (B.Tech), postgraduate (M.Tech, M.Sc), and doctoral (Ph.D) programs in various engineering and science disciplines. The primary focus areas include computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and mathematics.

The institute aims to provide quality technical education and research opportunities to students. It has a growing faculty engaged in research and development activities across various domains. IIT Goa is working towards establishing its permanent campus in South Goa. The curriculum is designed to align with industry requirements and promote innovation. Like other IITs, IIT Goa admits students through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).
