Horizon (Culture Beat album)
Horizon is the third studio album by German Eurodance group Culture Beat, released in 1995. It marked a significant change in the group's sound and personnel, most notably with the departure of lead vocalist Tania Evans and the introduction of Kim Sanders as the new female vocalist.
The album retained Culture Beat's signature Eurodance elements, characterized by high-energy beats, synthesized melodies, and catchy hooks. However, Horizon also incorporated influences from other genres such as trance and house music, resulting in a more diverse and mature sound compared to their previous albums.
Key singles from Horizon include "Inside Out," which achieved considerable success in Europe and beyond, and "Crying in the Rain." These tracks showcased Sanders' vocal abilities and the album's evolved musical direction.
Despite the change in vocalists, Horizon proved to be a commercially successful album for Culture Beat, solidifying their position as a leading act in the Eurodance scene of the mid-1990s. The album further expanded their fan base and demonstrated their ability to adapt and innovate within the evolving landscape of electronic music.
