Henry Newman (football coach)

Henry Newman was an American football coach. He is best known for his long tenure as the head football coach at Western Kentucky State Teachers College, now Western Kentucky University, from 1923 to 1942. During his time there, he compiled a record of 115–59–11. His 115 wins remain the most in Western Kentucky football history. Newman was known for his emphasis on fundamental football and discipline. He also served as the school's athletic director during much of his coaching career.
