David McKean (diplomat)
David McKean (born May 5, 1958) is an American diplomat and lawyer who served as the United States Ambassador to Luxembourg from 2016 to 2017. He was nominated by President Barack Obama and confirmed by the U.S. Senate in 2016.
Prior to his ambassadorship, McKean held several positions in public service. He served as Chief of Staff to Vice President Joe Biden from 1999 to 2005. Before working for Biden, he was an attorney in private practice.
McKean is a graduate of Harvard Law School and holds a bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College.
