St. Paul's Episcopal Church (Baltimore, Maryland)
St. Paul's Episcopal Church is a historic Episcopal church located in downtown Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is often referred to as "Old St. Paul's" to distinguish it from other St. Paul's churches in the region.
Founded in 1692, it is one of the oldest churches in Maryland. The current building, the third on the site, was designed by Robert Cary Long, Jr. and completed in 1856. It is a notable example of Gothic Revival architecture. The church is located on Charles Street, a major thoroughfare in Baltimore.
Throughout its history, St. Paul's has played a significant role in the religious and social life of Baltimore. The churchyard contains the graves of many prominent Marylanders.
