Heine (crater)
Heine is a lunar impact crater that lies along the southeastern edge of the Mare Humorum. It is located to the southwest of the crater Agatharchides, and northeast of Doppelmayer.
The rim of Heine is low and somewhat eroded, with a breach along the northern edge. The inner walls slope down to a relatively flat interior floor that has been resurfaced by lava flows, leaving it with a lower albedo than the surrounding terrain. The floor is marked only by a few tiny craterlets.
Heine is named after the German mathematician and professor, Heinrich Eduard Heine.
