Harold Walker (footballer)

Harold Walker (born October 1, 1928, died April 23, 2018) was an English professional footballer who played as a full-back. He is most notable for his long and distinguished career with Bolton Wanderers.

Walker joined Bolton Wanderers in 1948 and remained with the club until his retirement in 1963. He made over 400 appearances for Bolton in all competitions. Walker was a key member of the Bolton team that won the FA Cup in 1958, defeating Manchester United 2-0 in the final. He was known for his solid defending, tackling ability, and consistency. He also served as club captain.

After retiring from professional football, Walker remained involved in the sport at a local level.
