HSwMS Stockholm (P11)

HSwMS Stockholm (P11) was the lead ship of the Stockholm-class corvette of the Swedish Navy. Built by Karlskrona Naval Dockyard, she was launched in 1984 and commissioned in 1986. The Stockholm-class corvettes were designed for anti-surface warfare (ASuW) and anti-submarine warfare (ASW) operations in the Baltic Sea.

Stockholm underwent a major mid-life upgrade between 2017 and 2019. This included enhancements to its combat management system, sensors, and weapon systems, improving its overall capabilities. Key upgrades involved integrating a new sonar system, radar, and electronic warfare suite.

The Stockholm-class corvettes, including HSwMS Stockholm (P11), are characterized by their stealth design, intended to minimize radar cross-section. They are equipped with a variety of weapons, including anti-ship missiles, torpedoes, and a 57mm Bofors naval gun.

HSwMS Stockholm (P11) has participated in numerous national and international exercises and operations throughout her service life, contributing to maritime security and interoperability with other navies.
