HMS Poole (1696)

HMS Poole was a 32-gun fifth-rate frigate of the English Royal Navy, launched in 1696. The Poole was built at Deptford Dockyard according to the 1691 Establishment.

Details regarding her active service are scarce, however, fifth-rate frigates of this period were typically employed on a variety of tasks including convoy escort, patrol duty, and raiding enemy shipping. They were also often used as dispatch vessels.

The Poole was rebuilt at Woolwich Dockyard in 1711. She was broken up in 1725.
