Donuts (album)

Donuts is the second studio album by American hip hop producer J Dilla, released on February 7, 2006, by Stones Throw Records. Primarily instrumental, the album was created during J Dilla's battle with thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP), a rare blood disease.

The album consists of short, loop-based tracks, often drawing samples from a wide range of genres, including soul, jazz, and electronic music. Its creation involved J Dilla recording most of the album at his home studio using a Boss SP-303 sampler, often while hospitalized.
