Cheddars

Cheddars refers primarily to a casual dining restaurant chain in the United States, officially known as Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen (formerly Cheddar's Casual Cafe). The restaurant is known for its made-from-scratch meals and is typically positioned as offering high-quality food at moderate prices.

The menu at Cheddar's generally includes American cuisine staples such as steaks, burgers, chicken, seafood, salads, and pasta dishes. Popular items often include their Honey Butter Croissants and Chicken Tender Platter.

The Cheddar's restaurant chain has locations across numerous states within the U.S. The company was founded in 1979 in Irving, Texas. In 2017, Darden Restaurants, Inc., acquired Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen. Prior to the acquisition by Darden, Cheddar's was privately owned. Darden Restaurants also owns other well-known dining chains, such as Olive Garden and LongHorn Steakhouse.
