John Simpson (English cricketer)
John Simpson (born 13 November 1988) is an English professional cricketer who plays for Middlesex County Cricket Club. He is a right-handed batsman and a wicket-keeper.
Simpson made his first-class debut for Leicestershire in 2008 before joining Middlesex in 2012. He quickly established himself as a key member of the Middlesex squad, becoming the first-choice wicket-keeper.
Known for his consistent performances with the bat, Simpson is a valuable middle-order batsman. He is also a reliable wicket-keeper, admired for his agility and safe hands behind the stumps. He has scored several centuries in first-class cricket and has represented Middlesex in all three formats of the game: First-class, List A, and Twenty20.
In addition to his on-field contributions, Simpson is also respected for his leadership qualities. He has captained Middlesex on occasion and is seen as a senior figure within the dressing room.
