The 25th Division was a military formation of the Yugoslav Partisans during World War II. Formed on October 14, 1944, in the Kalinovik area, it was composed primarily of fighters from eastern Bosnia. The initial core of the division consisted of the 16th Muslim Brigade, the Romanija Brigade, and the Birčanska Brigade.
Throughout its existence, the 25th Division engaged in combat operations against Axis forces and their collaborators in eastern Bosnia. It participated in the liberation of numerous towns and villages and played a role in disrupting enemy supply lines and communication networks. The division was involved in various battles and campaigns, contributing to the overall Partisan effort to liberate Yugoslavia.
Command structure and specific unit composition of the 25th Division may have varied during the course of the war depending on strategic needs and battlefield circumstances.
