Gunship (band)

Gunship is a British synthwave band formed in 2010. The band consists of Dan Haigh, Alex Westaway, and James Stephenson. Their music is heavily influenced by 1980s electronic music, film soundtracks, and video games, often featuring dark and cinematic soundscapes.

Gunship's debut self-titled album was released in 2015 and received positive reviews, gaining them a dedicated following within the synthwave scene. Their subsequent albums, Dark All Day (2018) and Unicorn (2023), further cemented their reputation.

Known for their collaborations with artists such as John Carpenter, Carpenter Brut, and Kat Von D, Gunship has become a prominent act in the modern synthwave revival. Their music frequently explores themes of dystopia, technology, and nostalgia. They are particularly recognized for their visually compelling music videos, which often incorporate retro aesthetics and science fiction elements.
