Players (1997 TV series)
Players was an American action television series that aired on NBC from July 24, 1997, to October 30, 1997. The series centered on three con artists—brothers Daryl (Ice-T), Alfonso (Costas Mandylor), and Tonny (Phil Morris)—who are offered a deal by the FBI: use their skills to catch other criminals or face lengthy prison sentences. They agree, and each episode follows their exploits as they infiltrate and expose criminal operations. The show blended action, comedy, and suspense, attempting to capitalize on the late 1990s trend of fast-paced, stylish crime dramas. The series was canceled after one season due to low ratings.
