Shizuo Takada (athlete)
Shizuo Takada (1906-2001) was a Japanese track and field athlete who competed in the 1932 Summer Olympics held in Los Angeles, California. He participated in the triple jump event, where he finished sixth with a jump of 14.38 meters. Takada's performance marked one of the early examples of Japanese success in Olympic field events. He was also a prominent athlete in Japan during the pre-war period, contributing to the development and popularization of track and field within the country. His involvement extended beyond competition; he later served as an athletics administrator and coach, helping to train future generations of Japanese athletes.
