Marian Gołębiewski (soldier)
Marian Gołębiewski (born February 25, 1911, died February 17, 1996) was a Polish soldier, officer in the Polish Army during World War II, and a member of the Home Army (Armia Krajowa) resistance movement. He fought in the September Campaign of 1939, and later became involved in underground activities against the Nazi German occupation of Poland.
Gołębiewski was known for his involvement in partisan warfare and sabotage operations against German infrastructure. Following the war, he faced persecution under the communist regime in Poland due to his service in the Home Army. His contributions to the Polish resistance were largely suppressed until after the fall of communism in 1989. He was later recognized for his wartime service. Details of his specific wartime activities and post-war life can be found in Polish historical archives and accounts related to the Home Army's activities in his region of operation, although specific details may be limited due to the nature of underground resistance work.
