Bill Richardson (baseball)

William "Bill" Richardson (born August 18, 1959) is a former Major League Baseball player. He played as a catcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1983 to 1985. Richardson was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 18th round of the 1981 MLB Draft. He was later traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates where he made his major league debut on September 1, 1983. During his MLB career, Richardson played in a limited number of games, serving primarily as a backup catcher. After his time in the majors, he continued to play in the minor leagues.
