Ellipes

Ellipes refers to a misspelling of the word "ellipse." An ellipse is a closed curve, a generalization of a circle, such that the sum of the distances from any point on the curve to two fixed points (called foci) is a constant. Ellipses are fundamental geometric shapes with important applications in mathematics, physics, astronomy, and engineering. Examples include the orbits of planets around stars, the shape of some mirrors and lenses, and the cross-section of certain pipes.
