Cardiff East (UK Parliament constituency)
Cardiff East is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2015 by Jo Stevens of the Labour Party. It is located in the city of Cardiff, Wales.
Boundaries
The constituency covers the eastern part of the city of Cardiff. It includes the electoral divisions of:
- Adamsdown
- Cathays (part)
- Heath
- Penylan
- Plasnewydd
- Roath
The boundaries have been relatively stable over time, though minor adjustments have occurred to reflect changes in local government ward boundaries.
History
Cardiff East was created in 1918 and has been represented by Members of Parliament from various political parties, including the Conservative, Labour, and Liberal parties.
