Viva (Bananarama album)
Viva is the tenth studio album by British female vocal trio Bananarama, released in 2009. It was the second album released under their own label, Banana Music. The title "Viva" is a reference to their shared Spanish heritage, with Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward having lived in Spain during the album's production.
The album features a mix of original compositions and cover versions. Notable tracks include "Love Comes," "Rely On Me," and covers of tracks such as "The Runner" (originally by The Three Degrees) and "Tokyo Joe" (originally by Roxy Music). Musically, Viva incorporates elements of pop, dance, and electronic music.
Viva received generally mixed reviews upon release, with some critics praising its upbeat energy and strong melodies, while others found it inconsistent. Commercially, the album reached the lower end of the UK Albums Chart. Several singles were released from the album, including "Love Comes" and "Love Don't Live Here."
